Tips on using this wiki

Getting started

1. You need to log in to edit pages or access a private page. Click UserPreferences and create an account. Please use a WikiName, e.g. GaryBader (no spaces, capitalized first, last name)

2. Contact GaryBader to gain access to a private page, with your username.

3. To be notified of updates, you can click on RecentChanges and subscribe to an RSS feed, or subscribe to an individual page by clicking the subscribe link at the top of the page. You will get an e-mail alert when the page is edited.

5. You can see the differences between page version by clicking the Info link at the top of a page.

Editing wiki pages

• Wiki pages use a simple text markup to create a page. You can learn by example by copying the markup on an existing page. For example, = heading 1 = is for headings and lists look like this:

• Tip: WikiName case words are automatically linked. To avoid this, put a ! in front of the word.

• You can do a lot more with wiki markup. Full details are described at HelpOnEditing and SyntaxReference

• Make sure you save the page when you are done editing. Use Preview to see how your changes look. For long pages, save regularly to avoid losing your work.

Known bugs

• May 2006 - Attachments are not automatically opened on internet explorer on windows. Save the attachment to disk, then open it.
• May 2006 - E-mail is not getting sent in all cases when a user subscribes to a page
